How to extract or delete PDF pages

Short answer

To extract, choose the pages or range you want to keep and export them as a new PDF. To delete, remove the unwanted pages and export the rest. Both keep the original file untouched.

Extract vs delete

They are two sides of the same edit. Extracting keeps a chosen set of pages and drops the rest; deleting removes a chosen set and keeps the rest. Pick whichever is fewer pages to specify.

Extract the pages you want

  1. Add the PDFDrop the file in. It is read locally in the browser tab.
  2. Choose the pages or rangeFor example 1-3, or 2, 5, 8 for individual pages.
  3. Export the new PDFOnly the selected pages are saved into a fresh file.
Try it: Extract PDF PagesKeep only the pages you select and export them as a new PDF, locally.Open tool

Delete the pages you do not want

When you only need to drop a few pages — a cover sheet, a blank page, an appendix — deleting is faster than listing everything to keep.

Try it: Delete PDF PagesRemove specific pages and download the rest as a clean PDF.Open tool
For larger reorganizing, split or mergeTo break a PDF into several files, use split; to combine files, use merge.

Questions

How do I save just one page of a PDF?

Use an extract-pages tool, enter that single page number, and export. The result is a new one-page PDF, and the original file stays unchanged.

Does deleting pages change the original PDF?

No. A new PDF is created with the remaining pages. Your original file is not modified, so you can always go back to it.

Are my PDF pages uploaded?

No. Pages are extracted or deleted inside your browser tab. Neither the original nor the new PDF is uploaded or stored on a server.
