Can I paste a full transcript?

Yes, if useful lines begin with timestamps. Lines without timestamps are ignored by the transcript-to-chapters tool.

Why not turn every timestamp into a chapter?

Too many tiny chapters are hard to scan and may violate YouTube's practical spacing guidance.
